ITINERARY
Welcome at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Diner and night.
After breakfast, departure to the medieval town of Rouen. In the heart of Normandy, the land of Impressionism, and crossed by the Seine, Rouen is overflowing with a rich heritage. After city tour and the visit of the Cathedral of Notre Dame, you will continue to Honfleur, where you can admire the picturesque port and have lunch. Arrive later at your hotel in Deauville, the elegant resort known for its typical architecture, and international events such as famous race courses and international film festival.
Travel to the historic D-Day Landing beach and the American cemetery at Omaha Beach. After lunch, continue your journey to visit Mont St. Michel and its exceptional abbey.
After breakfast, departure to St Malo, a historic French port in Brittany on the Channel coast. Discover the walled city which had a long history of piracy and overseas adventures. Continue to Rennes, the capital of the Brittany region. After the city tour, you will continue your journey through the scenic countryside to Tours and the unique Loire Valley.
Welcome in the Loire Valley, your journey starts with the royal château of Blois which presents a magnificent panorama of the art and history of the castles of the Loire. After lunch, you will reach the Cheverny castle where you also can visit Tintin’s Room in the permanent exhibition which is called “The Secrets of Marlinspike Hall”. Finish your day with the Cambord castle, one of the most recognisable château in the world, and its very distinctive French Renaissance architecture.
Not the most famous castle of the Loire Valley, however very exciting, where Leonard De Vinci resided after he was invited to join King François 1er to « dream, think and work ». He was burried in the heart of the royal château. After lunch, you will visit the remarkable castle of Château de Chenonceau, with an architectural mixture of late Gothic and early Renaissance. After the Royal Palace of Versailles, it is the most visited château in France. Dinner in the typical Old-World ambience.
End this wonderful tour of the Loire Valley with the Villandry castle and its so famous gardens. After lunch, and on your way to Paris you will make a stop at Château de Nitray, which is also a wineyard estate, for a wine tasting session. Transfer to Paris for dinner and night.
This morning, your sightseeing tour features views of the most important monuments such as Eiffel Tower, Champs Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, Louvre etc. The rest of the day is free for the visits on your own arrangement or shopping. Or you can join the optional visit of the Montmartre Village or Seine Cruise.
Departure from Paris, transfer to the airport to take your flight back home.
